Considering EEG needs across the country continue to grow and that R. EEG T.s are in short supply, continuing education for all techs providing EEG services to patients is critical. Stratus has created two, FREE educational programs for EEG Techs to access live and on-demand after the webinar has concluded.

EEG U Makes Quality CEUs Freely Available to Everyone Working in EEG

This ASET CEU program features 12 presentations a year, one per month, from experts in the field covering a wide range of topics.  

Simply register for each webinar (and add in your ASET ID if you’d like to receive CEU credit) and attend the live event.

ASET – The Neurodiagnostic Society has granted ASET Continuing Education Units [ASET CEUs] for EEG U. Such crediting, however, should not be construed by program participants as an endorsement of any type of instruments or supplies mentioned or involved in these presentations.
*Note, you must attend the overwhelming majority of the live lecture and access the webinar using the individual Zoom link emailed to you upon registration. Multiple people using one Zoom link will only track the person whose link you used to log in.
Stratus does not send out certificates of attendance. If you need proof for other CEU programs, please utilize the automated Zoom email that is sent to all attendees 1 day after the live webinar.

Learning Objectives:

1. Describe key differences between adult and pediatric/neonatal EEG setup, including electrode application, montage selection, technical considerations, and filter settings.

2. Review neonatal EEG ontogeny and the expected maturational changes in EEG background from extreme prematurity, around 24 weeks gestational age, through term age.

3. Identify important neonatal EEG background abnormalities and recognize electrographic seizures that require prompt communication with the interpreting epileptologist.

Learning Objectives:

1. Identify the AI-based tools currently used in EEG acquisition and review, including automated artifact rejection, spike/seizure detection software, and quantitative EEG (qEEG) trending displays.

2. Describe how AI-assisted detection affects the technologist's workflow at the bedside and in the lab, including how to recognize and flag false positives/negatives and the continued need for skilled human review.

3. Explain the technologist's role in ensuring data quality for AI systems, including the impact of proper electrode application, impedance management, and artifact minimization on algorithm performance.
